FAQ
The water
Is the water heated?
No, and it does not need to be. The Original runs without electricity, so it draws fresh water straight from your existing supply at ambient temperature. Brisk for a second, then it simply feels clean. This is how bidets have worked in most of the world for a very long time.
Is that toilet water?
No. The bidet connects to the clean water line that fills your toilet tank, upstream of the tank itself — the same supply that feeds your taps. It never touches the water in the bowl.
Is it hygienic?
The nozzle sits tucked behind a guard until you use it, rinses itself after every use, and never touches you. Backflow prevention is built in, so nothing can travel back into your household water supply.
Fit and installation
Will it fit my toilet?
Almost certainly. It is designed for standard two-piece toilets — a separate tank and bowl — with seat-bolt spacing between 100 and 220 mm, which covers the overwhelming majority of homes in the US and Canada. If yours is unusual, email us before you order and we will tell you honestly.
Do I need a plumber?
No. It fits between the toilet and the seat and connects to the water line already behind your toilet. Everything required is in the box, and it takes under ten minutes. The only tool you need is a screwdriver.
What if I rent?
The Original is fitted, not plumbed in permanently, and comes off in a few minutes leaving the toilet as you found it. Many landlords have no objection, but the tenancy agreement is between you and them.
Using and caring for it
Is there a front wash?
Yes. The Original has a dual wash — rear and front (feminine) — from a single adjustable nozzle.
How do I clean it?
A soft cloth and mild soap. The nozzle takes care of itself. Avoid abrasive or harsh cleaners — they dull the finish, and that damage is not covered by the warranty.
Ordering, delivery and returns
Where do you ship?
The United States and Canada. Shipping is free to every address, with no minimum.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are processed in 1–2 business days, then 3–7 business days in the US and 5–12 in Canada. Full detail is in our shipping policy.
What if I do not get on with it?
You have 99 days. Email us and we will send a prepaid return label and refund you in full — no restocking fee and no explanation required. Installed and used is fine; that is rather the point of a trial. See the 99-Day Trial.
What does the warranty cover?
Manufacturing faults, for as long as the original purchaser owns it. Details are in the Lifetime Warranty.
